The Glitter Cupcake is a joint collaboration between two enthusiastic cooks with a passion for great food,  Even though both writers come from very different backgrounds their walk in life has led them on a collision course and the creation of this website. They first met on Instagram and quickly became great friends.  Sometimes life is stranger than fiction as it seems they traded places. Jeremy now lives on Rai’s island in Bali Indonesia and Rai now calls Australia home.

Born on the Island of Bali Indonesia Rai left Indonesia at the age of 19 to continue her tertiary studies at Australia’s prestigious Monash University. Rai fell in love with Australia and now enjoys a professional life working in the insurance industry. Having harboured a  hidden passion for cooking and baking Rai recently completed a culinary course at William Angliss collage. Rai is at her happiest in the kitchen twirling forks, spoons and at times making it rain pixie dust. Jeremy Trott

Born in Scotland 1978 Jeremy trained as a chef in Melbourne Australia however left the profession to pursue studies at RMIT University and later went on to a career in information technology and business. In 2007 Jeremy left a successful professional life in Australia to make a new life with his current partner in Bali Indonesia. He is happily married with 3 children. Jeremy made a name for himself 8 years ago by being the first “orang Bule” to construct a full size working pizza oven at his villa in Canggu.
